Miracle Maker

Hands raised to God girl in a paddock.

You Are A Miracle Maker. Jesus said it. I believe it.

When people ask me to pray for them for healing, if I get an okay from Father, I do. We do not heal anyone. Jesus works through us to heal by the power of Holy Spirit. That we are supposed to do what Jesus did is foundational for all believers. God is no respecter of persons. Jesus wants to work in and through us. He needs us.

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

John 14.12; AMPC

Decreeing, declaring, and proclaiming the Word according to the unction of Holy Spirit is vital.

Reading my Bible from elementary school, I gradually changed my strategic thinking from proclaiming the Word only, to more action. Decreeing, declaring, and proclaiming the Word according to the unction of Holy Spirit is vital. Moulded into the image of Jesus, we are to be more aggressive in doing the Word, rather than only believing miracles can happen, if we want to pull more people out of darkness into the marvelous light. Too many people are dying and going to hell. The prophets are saying a revival will sweep the earth. Presently, there are pockets around the world. Yes, we pray, proclaim the Gospel, decree, and declare the Word of the Lord. Jesus is calling an army of believers who will do what He did. We can be effective wherever we are.

Psalm 149 talks to the saints … all believers! We are to pick up the rod of authority, and under the unction of Holy Spirit, declare the Word of the Lord. It is time to declare healing over ourselves and others. Do you believe this? Going one step further, we are to physically pray with the lost.

I made a checklist typical beliefs (pistuo in Greek):

  1. Jesus was God, sent by the Father to restore people back to Him.
  2. He died, was resurrected, and returned to Heaven. He had conquered the enemy.
  3. Before He left, He promised Holy Spirit who came.
  4. Those with Holy Spirit within and upon them, do what Jesus taught and demonstrated. Holy Spirit guides.
  5. Believers in Christ are children of God seated in Christ in Heavenly Places. They are above the enemy.
  6. When people believe in Jesus, Father sends His Spirit through Jesus to seal our spirit. Heaven with all its power and benefits lives within each believer’s spirit.
  7. The Bible is Truth. The Word is also living, and active.
  8. Much, much, more.

Then why are we not more active beyond prayers at home and in church? We serve the same Heavenly Father. United with God, by the power of Holy Spirit, we are fully equipped and enabled to hear the voice of our Jesus and follow His direction.

What did Jesus do? He preached the Gospel, introduced deliverance, and healed the sick. Deliverance was not in the Old Testament. The word traveled quickly, and crowds followed Jesus. In other words, Jesus preached and demonstrated signs, wonder, and miracles. He taught the heart of the Torah (the first five book of our bible). People flocked to Him, believing what they saw, viewing Jesus was their long-waited Messiah (Christ). Jesus said He was God.

Let us look at a few scriptures.

Matthew 28.18-20 is called the Great Commission. The word “Go” means, “As you go through your day.”

Yeshua (Jesus) came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make people from all the nations into taldimom (disciples), immersing them, into the reality of the Father, the Son, and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even to the end of the age.

Matthew 28.18-20; CJSB

Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them, to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).

Matthew 28.18-20; AMPC

Believers are disciples given Kingdom authority. What do we do?

And as you go, preach, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!” Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received, freely (without charge) give.

Matthew 10.7-8; AMPC

And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe. In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new languages. They will pick up serpents, and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them. They will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.

Mark 16.17-18; AMPC

Believing the Great Commission, the disciples of Jesus obeyed.

So, then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and He sat down at the right hand of God [Psalm 110.1]. and they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it).

Matthew 28.19-20; AMPC

Jesus taught, modeled signs, wonders and miracles, and provided the Way for Heaven to come and dwell in us. He enabled us to have everything we need by His Spirit. Jesus did the work of the Kingdom daily, as did His disciples following the baptism of Holy Spirit.

When our children were in high school in the United States, we experienced revival. Being a member of a small church in Arizona, USA, in revival, I was shocked. Miracles, deliverance, healings, signs, and wonders were always happening. I believe in miracles but did not see signs and wonders in Japan where the children were born. Miracles flowed through small children in that church as they believed and prayed for others, with an accompanying adult. Some 4–6-year-olds from my Sunday School class participated. Sunday evenings we prayed, I answered any questions, and then we headed for the main sanctuary. They wanted to be an integral part of what was going on. The children loved revival and the supernatural became natural to them.

Paul taught the church in Corinth with mostly non-Jewish people attending. In 1 Corinthians 12, he listed the power gifts. Having Holy Spirit within each believer, we are naturally supernatural. Holy Spirit supplies what we need when we need it, for what He wants us to do. Age or status does not matter.

The working of miracles,” is energeo, or energemata and dynameon which means both mighty and active.

Let us put John 3.16 and John 14.12 together. Jesus is waiting for His ambassadors to answer His call.

For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3.16; NKJV

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

John 14.12; AMPC

James, the head of those who believed in Jesus following the death and resurrection of Jesus, said in James 1.22 that we must be doers of the Word. If we are, we will receive blessings.

We must believe in John 3.16 and John 14.12 and say yes to the Truth of scriptures. What Holy Spirit is asking us to do, we obey what the Word says, and Jesus will do the works in and through us. Holy Spirit will guide.

The word “believe” is not a stagnant word. All of past, present, future is packed in this word. We serve the great I AM, the “Being God,” Who lives out of time “Was and Is and Is to come.” He cannot lie.

I have now seen and participated in numerous miracles in our house in Japan where many people from various countries come to pray, praise, and fellowship. When the Lord directs me to pray for someone, I do. Recently, taking a surprise, unplanned trip to visit relatives in the United States, we had many miracles. Returning to Japan I noticed how I had been changing over the past few years.

When a group visits our house and I later find out a person (Christian or not) has stage four cancer, I am always frustrated that no one has said anything nor asked believers to pray for them to be healed. There is power in agreement in prayer. Let us do what Jesus did!

I have seen:

  1. Food multiply.
  2. Money materialize.
  3. Hail, rain, and wind stopped.
  4. Angels appear.
  5. People healed.
  6. Deliverance occur.
  7. Much more

What we often miss with what Jesus modeled, He did constantly. So did His disciples. When Jesus left and Holy Spirit came, miracles, signs and wonders continued. Judeans witnessed signs and wonders and became believers in Jesus.

During the 9/11 attack in the US, the heroes were average people. They stepped out and miracles happened. United with Jesus, there is nothing we cannot say or do that will not have an effect with Holy Spirit guiding us.

Let us agree with the Bible that we have power gifts within. Then let us exercise these gifts as Holy Spirit leads. When we go through our day with this in mind, we exercise miracle faith like how we exercise in a gym to build physical muscles. Muscles build over time. We may see instant results in the spiritual realm, when we pray with others, or we may not. Something happens in the spiritual realm whether we see it or not. We believe in miracles and activate our faith.

People these days are self-involved. Many believers feel ignored, unloved, unseen, and undervalued. Look for an initial connection point such as a limp, cast, crutches, or other obvious challenge.

You might say.

“Hi. I noticed… “

“Are you okay?”

“What happened?”

Then take the time to listen.

You will have made a connection and trust will develop.

“I have seen God heal this kind of thing many times. Would you like me to pray for you?”

By the time you pray, God’s compassion will show up.

Then pray as Holy Spirit leads, giving God the glory.

Whether we see results or not, something is always happening in the spiritual realm.

When I speak with pastors from not-yet-developed countries, I encourage them to do what Jesus did. I also urge people to lay hands on themselves and refuse any spirits of infirmity, sickness, and disease in their body. We do not have to receive symptoms.

For myself, I rebuke anything that tries to touch me.

Believe, believe, believe. Your faith will make you well and keep you on the front lines in the army of Jesus.

Yes, preach and teach the Gospel, feed spiritual and physical food, but do not forget miracles, signs, and wonders. Jesus waits to work in and through all of us.

Miracles are the Gospel on display. The harvest is ripe, but who will reap?

Jesus needs His Kingdom Ambassadors. Will you answer His call?
